A Question for the Ages
What came first? The Internet or the unending panel discussions on the impact the Internet has had on (name whatever the fuck you’d like to here)?
definitely the panel discussions. there was a huge amount of discourse around ARPANET and its implications well before the internet went public. Also, in the 1960s, even before ARPANET officially launched, Douglas Engelbart did a webcast press conference using pre-ARPANET technology(!).
